My name is Linda and I've been teaching most of my adult life. I started as a high-school teacher and later became a trainer in the computer industry. I'm a One-Stroke Certified Instructor (OSCI), as well as a tole painter and jewelry designer. I am also a certified Bead Cornerä Design Academy Instructor. I love creating polymer clay focal beads for my jewelry and have recently become obsessed with making jewelry using the Kumihimo braiding technique.
At Linda's Art Barn you can purchase handcrafted jewelry and hand-painted items from my online store. If you live in the area, you can attend classes and purchase painting supplies.
I teach One-Stroke painting techniques, tole painting, strokework, and techniques for painting lace designs.
I also teach jewelry classes, including pearl-stringing, beadweaving, chain maille, and how to make polymer clay beads.
Handcrafted jewelry and jewelry classes make wonderful gifts!
In addition, I can professionally restring your pearl necklace by hand-knotting with fine silk thread and using French Coil to connect the pearls to the clasp. Experts tell us to restring our pearls every two or three years. You don't have a string of pearls? Let me design and hand-knot a necklace for you, using gorgeous, high-quality Swarovski Crystal Pearls--or let me teach you how to hand-knot your own own strand of pearls.
